How Do Dry Herb Vaporisers Actually Work?

Many people will probably assume that dry herb vaporisers work in much the same way as e-liquid based devices. Whilst Vype and My Growing Company CBD might have similarities in the way their products use heat not burn technology, there are some major differences between devices like the PAX 2 and a pod mod function and are designed.

This blog will explore the ways that dry herb vaporisers utilise heat not burn technology, and how they differ from the standardised design of e-liquid vape devices. Whether you’re a budding vaper looking to try other forms of heat not burn, or you’re a regular Heets Sienna user, dry herb vaporisers are one of the most unique and potent ways for you to quit tobacco.

What Is A Dry Herb Vaporiser?

A dry herb vaporiser is a vape device that can function using an organic material such as CBD flowers and compressed tobacco. These devices are often equipped with unique capabilities and heating functions that push them to a higher temperature than your average vape device could, whilst also shedding the unhealthy chemicals that are unlocked from such material when smoking.

How Does It Work?

Much like an e-liquid based vape device, dry herb vapes use heat not burn technology to utilise their material. Heat not burn technology is a form of battery-powered electrical heating, which, when combined with an internal oven of organic material or a tank and saturated wicking cotton of vape liquid, will heat up the substance to a temperature at which it will evaporate without giving off smoke. This vapour is then inhaled by the user of the device.

Oven Compartments

Dry herb vaporisers shed the need for a tank and instead use an oven compartment in which the user can pack their dry herb material. On devices such as the PAX 2 and 3, these oven compartments are removable and come with at least three size options.

Filters

Most dry herb vaporisers come with a filter system that catches any unwanted material that could get through. This means that the dry herb vaporiser will make extra sure that you are not inhaling any unwanted chemicals or materials, leaving a smooth, powerful inhale for the user.

Variable Temperature

Dry herb vaporisers need to reach a higher temperature than e-liquids devices do, and recent models of the PAX dry herb device can reach just under 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Heating a Nasty Vapes e-liquid on vape devices only requires you to reach highs of half that.

IQOS Devices

Contrasting to loose leaf and CBD vape oils for sale, IQOS devices are made to heat actual tobacco rather than cannabis or waxes. The IQOS device was designed by Phillip Morris tobacco company and uses compressed tobacco cartridges in much the same way as a pod mod would use e-liquid. This compressed tobacco is heated through a triple filtered system to give users a larger kick of nicotine. The IQOS Heets have just as much nicotine in them as a regular cigarette, up to 50 mg, compared to the maximum of 20 mg available in e-liquids.
